Key Responsibilities

As an LAC at Human Institute, you will:

• Conduct intake interviews, assessments, and observations to understand clients’ mental health needs.
• Collaborate with supervisors to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide counseling services to individuals (adults and children), couples, and families under supervision.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless and integrated care.
• Complete external documentation promptly and accurately.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development sessions.
• Meet consistently with supervisors for guidance and to fulfill licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) license in NJ.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in counseling or mental health services.
• Strong ability to connect with clients and build rapport.
• Preferably bilingual to effectively serve diverse populations.
